Legendary cricket broadcaster Henry Blofeld takes viewers on a delightful journey through contemporary cricket, while also reminiscing about the great games of the past.

Henry has been deeply involved in cricket for over five decades. He has witnessed the game’s remarkable growth into a globally recognised sport, where franchises hold significant influence and an increasing number of matches are added to the international calendar. However, it wasn’t always this way, and Blofeld reflects on the evolution of cricket and its potential future.

In this show, he delves into the significant transformations, innovations, and challenges facing the game today. While sharing his life and career experiences, he recounts his cherished memories of his beloved sport. With his signature wit and insightful commentary, he compares the current cricketing landscape with the cherished memories of yesteryear.

Henry’s journey in cricket writing began in May 1962 when he started contributing to The Times. In 1972, he embarked on his illustrious career as a commentator with the BBC’s Test Match Special. Throughout his career, he has written for various publications and broadcast on radio and television for numerous networks worldwide, particularly in Australia and New Zealand.‍
