Good to see inimitable actor writer and director and sometime Clive Conway Productions speaker Steven Berkoff pitching in and doing what he does best  - creating brilliant and sometimes outrageous work and then marketing it himself.
He’s currently offering a free signed copy of his book Shopping in the Santa Monica Mall with every purchase of the DVD of Harvey, his probing investigation of disgraced Hollywood film mogul Harvey Weinstein.
Described as examining ‘investigating the psyche of 'The Beast' the project is described as going where no one else dares “Inside the head of Harvey Weinstein.”
The offer is good for anyone purchasing from Berkoff’s personal site during August and though Harvey may not sound like a particularly comforting subject to explore you can bet your life that it bears its author’s unflinching determination to examine the demons that drove Weinstein to bully, manipulate and abuse.
Creatively for Berkoff this is the latest chapter in an extraordinary life  that has produced performances, books, plays and films. Alongside his original work there have been adaptations of plays by everyone from Shakespeare and Kafka to Oscar Wilde.
Born in the East end of London on the  brink of WorldWar II, he studied mime and drama in London and Paris before pursuing a career in theatre and forming the groundbreaking London theatre Group in 1968. He has also appeared as an actor in many films from A Clockwork orange and The Krays to Octopussy and Beverley Hills Cop. Further info at stevenberkoff.com
