Lucy Worsley

Our highly successful series of online talks - Curtain Up - continues at the  weekend with historian Lucy Worsley taking a revealing look at the world of Queen Victoria.
Like most people you probably have a fairly good idea about what Victoria was like. You know - little old lady, spherical in shape, dressed in black, perpetually grumpy. Right? Well Lucy wants to make you think again.
Meet a complex, contradictory woman, who had a traumatic childhood, who loved dancing, who suffered calamity and bereavement, before coming out the other side as an eccentric, powerful and a rather magnificent old lady. Lucy's illustrated talk takes you into the life, the palaces, and the rich colourful age of this woman who ruled a quarter of the globe.
It’s fascinating stuff  and just the latest in this illuminating series of talks by celebrity hosts presented in conjunction with Iconic Media Solutions.
So book today for Queen Victoria: Daughter, Wife, Mother, Widow. The talk, which bears the same title as Lucy's recent book, will stream at 6.00pm on Saturday 9th January and again at 6.00pm on Saturday 16th January.  There are even  VIP Tickets that include a signed copy of the book.  Simply follow this link to make a booking: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/welcome-to-the-world-of-queen-victoria-by-lucy-worsley-tickets-134794035589
