Hear Tim Brooke-Taylor's final recordings for I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue

Only last week we were discussing the thrill of hearing that the long-running and absolutely brilliant BBC panel game I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue had deservedly come top of a poll to identify the greatest radio comedy show of all time.
It was particularly pleasing because not only is the show consistently funny - an incredibly difficult thing to achieve for the best part of 50 years - but one of the stalwarts was our dear departed friend Tim Brooke-Taylor.
Tim, who was also a regular contributor to Clive Conway Productions, had been with Clue since the very beginning. He appeared on the first show way back in April 1972 and was still a mainstay of the programme earlier this year when he fell victim to Covid-19.
He sadly died in April, exactly 48 years after his Clue debut. Tim was 79-years-old but somehow seemed forever young.
Now fans can hear the final programmes that he recorded at the beginning of 2020 before the pandemic changed all our lives.
He features in the first two episodes of the new series which starts on BBC Radio 4 at 6.30 this evening.
Also on the show, which was taped in Huddersfield, are Tony Hawks, Marcus Brigstocke and Rachel Parris. Jack Dee is in the chair. Savour it. I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue truly is comedy gold.
