Legendary cricket broadcaster Henry Blofeld takes listeners on a delightful journey through contemporary cricket, intertwining reflections on the sport’s evolution with cherished memories of the past.

For over five decades, Henry has been deeply intertwined with cricket. He has witnessed its meteoric rise to become a globally recognised sport, with franchises wielding immense influence and an ever-expanding calendar of international matches. While this trajectory is new, Blofeld offers a nostalgic perspective on cricket’s history and contemplates its future trajectory.

In this new book, Blofeld delves into the significant transformations, groundbreaking innovations, and challenges facing the game in the present day. He also shares his personal life and career, recounting cherished moments spent immersed in his beloved sport. Through his signature wit and insightful commentary, Blofeld juxtaposes the current cricketing landscape with the cherished memories of yesteryear.

Henry began writing about cricket, for The Times, in May 1962.  In 1972, he embarked on his illustrious career as a commentator for the BBC’s Test Match Special. Throughout his illustrious career, he has authored numerous articles for various publications and provided commentary for both radio and television networks worldwide, particularly in Australia and New Zealand. Currently, Henry embarks on national tours with his one-man show, captivating audiences with his passion and expertise.
