Iconic PR

Though now aged 86, Johnny is as energetic as ever, as you will notice the moment he hits the stage, for this brilliant Evening with Johnny Ball.

In line with his recently published Auto Biography, Johnny will regale you with tales that are often unbelievable, but all perfectly true moments in his life.

From watching George Formby, aged 11 (Johnny, not George); his first comedy steps as a Butlin Redcoat; the wonderful Northern Club years; plus touring Singapore and Aden with Harry Secombe and Mombasa with Pan’s People.

In the years before his Think of a Number TV Shows, which made maths and science fun, Johnny spent 17 very happy years as a Stand Up Comedian.

Johnny will reveal his crazy Liverpool experiences, his encounters with The Beatles, Dusty Springfield, Roy Orbison, The Bee Gee’s, Ken Dodd and helping start Freddie Starr’s career. He was Bud Flanagan’s last ever TV straight man.

Then a friend said, “You were made to explain maths and science!” So Johnny changed tack, writing 20 TV “Think” Series, plus 5 Educational Stage Musicals and Ten Books, while always crediting any success to his “stand-up comedy” years

So come and sit back while Johnny tells of the more than one thing he lost on his honeymoon, “The man who robbed a bank and caught a bus home?” Plus the time the Duke of Edinburgh suggested a wife swap, with pictures to prove it!
