Siân Phillips joins Moira Armstrong and Waris Hussein to reflect back on the drama series Shoulder to Shoulder.

Shoulder to Shoulder told the story of the Pankhurst family and the birth of the women’s suffrage movement.

The series followed the problems that faced the Pankhursts as they fight for women's right to vote. Siân took on the key role of matriarch Emmeline Pankhurst, while Moira and Waris were responsible for directing!

They recall the challenges they faced bringing this important part of British history to life and doing justice to the story of the struggle. They also share fond memories of working with one of the key figures behind the series’ success, acclaimed BBC producer Verity Lambert.
